What is positive self- awareness?

Positive self-awareness is having a clear idea of who you are and your capabilities.


Winners have positive self-awareness. They know who they are, what they believe, and what their potential is.


Winners know what their strengths are and what they are good at.


Winners also know what their weaknesses are and what they need to work on.


Winners never sell themselves short. They realize that they have more potential than they could ever use in ten lifetimes.


Why is positive self-awareness important?

When we have a better understanding of ourselves, we are able to see ourselves as unique and separate individuals.


When you are self-aware, you know your strengths and weaknesses and how to manage them.


We can then make positive changes and build on our areas of strength and improve on our weak points.


Important: Be fair to yourself. We typically compare the worst we know of ourselves to the best we presume about others. And the results are usually disastrous.


Self-awareness is important in every aspect of life because it means that you have a sound understanding of who you are as a person and how you relate to the world in which you live.


Action Item: Take some time alone to think honestly about who you really are. Think about the things you are good at and like to do. Then think about the things you need to improve on. Think about how you can use this self-knowledge to reach your goals in life
