Offensive Back Take From The Guard: The Shuck:
From closed guard, open feet and post a foot on the mat. In one explosive movement, push off that foot, shrug your shoulder into BG’s armpit, and escape your hips out to the side. Scoot so hard you get your entire body out from underneath him. Trap his head and arm tight in a ratchet position. Climb on his back, step over to hook, and post the hand.
Jiu Jitsu Drill: take the back with progressive resistance. Start with the arm trapped and see if you can complete the back take. Repeat.
Closing Statement: Taking the back from guard is great for a real fight.
