Guard Prevention

A more skilled BG might try to push you into guard by pushing your hips and bringing his knee in. To stop this bring your knee in to his hip or by switching legs through to kuzure kesa gatame (broken scarf hold) while holding head or holding arm (if his elbow gets low on your hip, lift it back up).

Note: BG might bring his forearm to frame your face, slip it across to an arm triangle position and hold.
